PRC drops district game to Gautier

The Pearl River Central Blue Devils dropped a district contest to the Gautier Gators Friday night.

The Blue Devils lost a one sided contest by the score of 48-14 to the Gators.

Gautier was able to get on the board early and often throughout the contest.

Kameron Kincaid put the Gators on the board with 9 minutes left in the first quarter to give Gautier the initial lead.

Gautier would get on the board once again with a long touchdown run from Dayln McDonald with 1 minute left in the first quarter.

Adrian Scott would punch in a 47 yard touchdown run to make the score 21-0 Gautier with 6 minutes left in the first half.

The Gators would score again to head into half-time with a 27-0 lead.

It would not take the Gators long to pick up where they left off as they would score touchdown with 11 minutes left in the third quarter.

Dayln McDonald would score once again with a long touchdown run on the ground to give the Gators a 41-0 lead.

The fourth quarter would see the Blue Devils strike back when Ryan Spradley scored on a 16 yard touchdown reception, putting the Blue Devils on the board.

Sophomore running back Ty Herring would also contribute to PRC’s offense with a 54 yard rushing touchdown.

Gautier would ultimately score the final touchdown of the game and take a 48-14 victory.
