The Poplarville Hornets rolled to their eighth win of the season when they toppled the Purvis Tornadoes by a score of 49-0.

The Hornets were able to score early and often against the Tornadoes.

Poplarville got on the board with a touchdown pass from Antonio Barnes to Casin Sones for a 10 yard score.

Sones would score again in the second quarter with a 4 yard touchdown run.

Caziah Daniels would end the scoring in the first half for the Hornets with a 14 yard rushing touchdown.

The second half would see the Hornets really break the game open when running back Ahmad Bolton scored on a 31 yard rushing touchdown.

Running back Chase Shears would find the end zone later in the third quarter to make the score 35-0.

The Hornets would end the game with two more rushing touchdowns from Antonio Barnes and Casin Sones to end the game at 49-0.

Poplarville will host a huge district game against Lawrence County next Friday.
