Unfortunately for the Blue Devils they weren’t able to match the athleticism and the experience that the undefeated Tigers posses.

Hattiesburg was able to dominate the Blue Devils and win the home contest by a score of 60-7.

While the Blue Devils were able to mount some positive momentum from their offense, Hattiesburg’s talent dictated the pace of the game.

Pearl River Central was able to keep the game competitive going in the first half after sophomore quarterback Cameron Brunson hit a 35 yard touchdown pass to Ryan Spradley.

Sam Lambert knocked in the extra point to make the score 7-7 with 3 minutes left to go in the first quarter.

The Blue Devils were able to chew a good bit of the clock in the second quarter but were unable to cash in and turned the ball over on downs.

Hattiesburg cashed in with a 81 yard touchdown run to make the score 21-7 in the second quarter.

Hattiesburg would score once again in the second quarter to make it a three touchdown game.

It wasn’t until the third quarter of the contest when Hattiesburg really started to flex their muscles.

The Tigers scored three touchdowns on scoring plays of 34, 34, and 42 to bust the game wide open and take a commanding lead heading into the 4th quarter.

PRC’s luck wouldn’t get much better as Hattiesburg scored on two more touchdowns to end the game at a score of 60-7.

Hattiesburg quarterback “Snoop” Connor was phenomenal Friday night accounting for over 300 yard of total offense and 6 touchdowns.

PRC now holds a record of 2-5 and a district record of 1-2 while Hattiesburg holds an undefeated record of 7-0 and a district record of 3-0.
