Complaints of alleged drug activity at a Picayune location resulted in Picayune Police and Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department detectives arresting four people.

According to a release from the Picayune Police Department, officers went to 1701 Highway 11 N., Apt 1, on Sept. 29 just before 6 p.m. to serve a search warrant based on community complaints that the distribution of drugs was ongoing there.  Detectives with both departments arrived to find Terry Lynn Horne, 45, of 1105 West First St., Belchase, La., Michael Charles “Little Man” Stewart, 55, of 1311 Sally Dr., Donna Louise Crumpler, 28, of 1505 Maple Ave., and Demetrius Shaska “No Limit” Pipkins, 39, of 14061 Pleasant Hill Rd., all in front of the residential location, the report states.

When officers asked the individuals to put their hands on a car, Horne fled on foot toward Circle Drive, forcing a Sheriff’s Department detective to give chase, the release states. Horne was later apprehended in a business located on Highway 11 for disorderly conduct failure to comply. As he was being brought back to the original location, he continued to resist, but was secured in a patrol vehicle. During a search of the apartment, a green backpack containing digital scales with a crystal residue believed to be heroin was found on the front porch and in the kitchen another digital scale and a black plastic case were found on the kitchen table taped to a large magnet, the release states. Objects attached to a large magnet are typically indicative of drug activity, since the magnet can be used to discreetly transport narcotics by securing it underneath the vehicle, the release states.

The black plastic container housed 4 bags with a crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine and a bag with a substance suspected to be heroin, according to the release.

On the table, detectives found a roll of tin foil and plastic bags typically used in the packaging and distribution of narcotics, the release states.

A search of Crumpler’s purse found a plastic bag of mushrooms suspected to be hallucinogenic in nature and syringes, the release states.

Crumpler, Horne, Pipkins and Stewart were all arrested for two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, the release states.
