Dorothy “Dot” Cooley

Funeral service will be held Sat., Oct. 20, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Pilgrim Bound Baptist Church for Mrs. Dorothy “Dot” Cooley of Picayune. Mrs. Cooley died Oct. 11, 2018 at her home. She was 91. Rev. Henry Marshall will officiate at the service.

Burial will be in the Picayune Cemetery under the direction of Baylous Funeral Home. A native of Picayune, she was retired. She was a member of Pilgrim Bound Baptist Church, a member of the Senior Mission and Senior Choir. 

Survivors include her loving husband of 72 years, Mr. D. K. Cooley of Picayune; 1 son, Don Cooley of Houston, TX;  4 daughters, Brenda McKee of Picayune, Faye Shaw of Los Angeles, CA, Angela Brooks of Detroit, MI, Karen Cooley of Milwaukee, WI; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Norma Ott of Suwanee, GA; 1 sister, Yvonne Johnson of Columbia, MS; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by parents Fred and Violet Armstrong Ott; siblings, Alfredo Ott, Neshell Ott, Alexandra Ott and Ethel Waters. Wake service will be held on Fri., Oct. 19, 2018 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Baylous Funeral Home.  Visitation will be Sat., Oct. 20, 2018 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Pilgrim Bound Baptist Church under the direction of Baylous Funeral Home
