Elizabeth Stewart

Elizabeth Stewart was born February 28, 1937 to the late John Sr. and Alberta McWilliams. of Monroe, Alabama. Elizabeth moved to Picayune as a teenager and graduated from Carver High School. She later married Wilmer Stewart. To that union, six children were born. Elizabeth was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.

She worked many years for Western Sizzler and The Pines until her car accident. Elizabeth was a very humble, gentle, generous, and a kind hearted angel.

Elizabeth Stewart was preceded in death by her parents: John Sr. and Alberta McWilliams; four sisters: Mammie McWilliams, Frances Jones, Johnnie Mae Bolar, and Helen Bounds; five brothers; Leroy McWilliams, Albert McWilliams, Charles McWilliams, Les McWilliams, and Jim McWilliams; one grand-daughter, Valencia Stewart; one great grandson, Devon Stewart; very special niece Maggie Murray (Moochie); daughter -in-law, Dorothy Stewart.

Elizabeth Stewart leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Loretta (Edward) Nixon; five sons; Wilmer Stewart Jr., Charles (Cynthia) Stewart, Roderick (Charlotte) Stewart, Cedric (Tasha) Stewart, and Adrian Stewart; one sister, Gladys (Earl) Dees; two brothers: Lee McWilliams and John McWilliams; one aunt, Ann Lou Lett; fourteen grandchildren: Sebra Stewart, Daphne Stewart, Torrance Stewart, Yashiea Stewart, Roderick Stewart Jr., Kevin Stewart, Christopher Stewart, and Jarell Stewart, Sabrina Hamilton, Braxton Otems, Terrin Dowdell, Kimberly Williams, Trachele Stacks, and Marcus Staten; thirty-two great grand-children; one great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 10, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m at East Jerusalem Missionary Baptist

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in East Jerusalem Missionary Baptist for Elizabeth McWilliams Stewart age 81 of Picayune, Mississippi who died February 27, 2018 in Gulfport, Mississippi. Rev. Brian K. Dees will officiate at the service.

Burial will be in the Picayune Cemetery under the Direction of Baylous Funeral Home.
