Narcotics detectives noticed Morgan leaving a neighborhood near North Beech Street in a blue Nissan Altima, and began following her in unmarked vehicles to the meet point. While following Morgan, detectives saw the vehicle swerve off the road several times leading them to conduct a stop, the release states. Morgan refused to yield, so the detectives pursued her until she came to a stop on Highway 43 N, according to the release.

Once her vehicle came to a stop officers commanded her to exit the vehicle, but Morgan refused, and had to be removed, the release states. At that time, she was arrested for careless driving, improper equipment and failure to yield when officer signals, according to the release.

Narcotics detectives then conducted a search of her vehicle in which they discovered a large bag of brown powder believed to be heroin and a large bag of crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine, the release states. The detectives also found several used syringes, a syringe containing what was believed to be liquid methamphetamine, as well as an orange film believed to be suboxone in the glove compartment, according to the release.

Morgan was then additionally arrested for two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a church, two counts of conspiracy to sell a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a church, two counts of felony possession of a controlled substance, two counts of misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia.

After Morgan was transported to the criminal justice center her vehicle was seized due to its involvement in the transport and potential sale of a controlled substance, the release states.

The estimated value of the heroin was $800, and the value of methamphetamine was $900, the release states.

Assistant Chief of Police Jeremy Magri said that her bond was set at $1.25 million, and is still in jail.

According to previous coverage, Morgan was arrested on Dec. 14 and Jan. 4 for similar offences.

On Jan. 4, Morgan was pulled over for reckless driving after repeatedly drifting into oncoming traffic. During the subsequent stop, several controlled substances were found in the vehicle, including what was believed to be heroin, methamphetamine, 50 xanax pills, 21 clonazepam pills, a pouch of syringes, and glass and metal pipes. On that date she was arrested for possession of a controlled substance with the intention to distribute, felony possession of a controlled substance, three counts of misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia, careless driving and expired license, according to previous coverage.

She was also arrested on Dec. 14, after officers responded to reports of a suspicious person sleeping in her vehicle in a parking lot of a local business. When officers arrived, they found Morgan asleep in the vehicle. Investigation into the incident discovered she was in possession of crack cocaine, 20 doses of carisoprodol, three doses of clonazepam, a syringe and glass and metal pipes, leading to her arrest for four counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia.
