Funeral service will be held Sat., Jan. 27, 2018 at 11 a.m., visitation at 10 a.m., in Weems Chapel United Methodist Church for Mrs. Ossie Byrd Luckett, age 100, of Slidell, Louisiana. Mrs. Luckett died Jan. 19, 2018.

A native of Picayune, Mississippi, she was a member of St. Margaret Mary Church in Slidell.

Survivors include; two sons, Gregory Luckett and Calvin Luckett, both of Slidell; two granddaughters, Jasmine and Chelsea Luckett, both of Houston, Texas.

She was  preceded in death by her husband, George Luckett; parents, Tom Byrd and Louise Peters Byrd; three brothers, Carey Byrd Sr., Junior Byrd and Hiawatha Byrd; five sisters Lucinda Byrd, Idell Burnett, Violee McCroy, Gussie Byrd Peters and Mary Byrd Peters.

Baylous Funeral Home and Freddie E. Doyle Funeral are in charge of the arrangement. Burial in the Henleyfield Cemetery.
