Funeral Services for Agnes A. Johnson, age 91, of Picayune, Mississippi, who passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018, will be held Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at 11:00 am at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, 326 Mount Carmel Road, Carriere, Mississippi 39426.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 30, 2018 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church. 

Burial will be in Gipson Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Bro. Cedric Lumpkin will officiate the service.

A native of Henleyfield, Mississippi, she was a retired Dairy Farmer of 60 years, and a dedicated and beloved member of Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt, and friend, who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Johnson and Ollie Henley Johnson; her husband, Luther C. “Buck” Johnson, Jr.; her great-grandchildren, Chloe Elise and William Armstrong Whitfield; and her 5 brothers and 4 sisters.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Betty Sue (Steven) LaVigne; her son, Cecil Ray “Pete” (Brenda) Johnson; four grandchildren, Brad (Ashley) LaVigne, Andy (Missy) Johnson, Nicole (James) Mitchell, and Melissa (Jason) Whitfield; her 14 great-grandchildren, Eli LaVigne; Taylor, Brady, Lindsey, and Caroline Johnson; Kimberly, Amy, Hollie, and Luke Mitchell; Dalton and Lanie Whitfield; Chase Thigpen, Alex Carrol, and Dallas Taylor; and her  two great-great-grandchildren, Kimberlynn Kennedy and Ryan Thigpen.
