The Pearl River County Welcome Center invites community members to attend a Christmas party being held at the facility on Friday.

Children from the Union Baptist School handbell choir will sing Christmas songs during the event.

Pearl River County Welcome Center Supervisor Cynthia L. Poland said children are invited to come and make their own Christmas presents.

Poland said the children will also be able to make their own Mississippi maps out of clay before they paint and frame it as a gift.

The event will take place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

The Pearl River County Welcome Center is located off I-59.
