Relay For Life will host a “Witches Ride” event on Saturday at the North Hill Community Pavillion at 5:30 p.m.

Participants will dress as witches and ride a bike for a distance of two miles in order to raise funds for Relay for Life, which is the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.

“This is the first time that this event will take place in the state of Mississippi and I’m very excited,” Relay For Life Pearl River County/Picayune chairman Lisa Lee said in participating in the event.

Anyone interested can sign up on-site starting at 4 p.m. or they can visit the Relay For Life Pearl River County/Picayune Facebook page.

A VIP/costume party will be held after the bike ride, where a live band will play from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The event is open to anyone 18 years and older and the cost for both events will be $40. Participants attending only one event, the cost will be $25.

“This event was recently held in Alabama and the turnout was amazing so I’m excited that we’ll be having it here in Pearl River County,” Lee said.
