Local men will let their facial hair grow once again in November as part of the annual “Poplarville No-Shave November” fundraiser.

This fundraiser has been held since 2012 and has since collected over $12,752 for about 300 local children in need.

This annual event involves men foregoing shaving for a month in order to raise funds that will be used to purchase Christmas gifts for local children who are less fortunate.

Sponsors are currently being sought for those individuals who will grow their facial hair, sponsorships can be monetary or through the donation of toys.

This year, the group is teaming up with Pearl River Community College for the campus-wide toy drive. The Baptist Student Union will help organize and distribute the toys and clothing.
