Services for Arthur Trotter, Sr., 98, of Picayune Mississippi, who passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2017, will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at New Beginning Baptist Church, Picayune.  Reverend Dr. Van Bolden will officiate at the service.  Rev. Joey L. Mark is the Pastor.

Arthur was born on February 2, 1919, in Pachuta, Mississippi to the late Sam and the late Phoebe Trotter. Arthur was educated in Pachuta, in the Jasper County Education System.  He relocated to Picayune as a young man where he met Stella Mae Mark and the two joined in holy matrimony, unto this union ten children were born. Arthur was previously a member of St. Matthews Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Woodard He was previously employed as a Machine Operator at St. Regis, later known as General Box Company. 

Arthur Trotter Sr. ended his earthly walk to begin his heavenly existence Tuesday, August 29 at Highland Community Hospital.  He is preceded in death by parents; three sons: Arthur Trotter, Jr., Joe B. Trotter, and Charles Trotter; one daughter, Katie Mae Richards; two sisters: Luella Trotter and Olivia Trotter; and two brothers: Early Trotter and Lonnie Trotter. He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his wife, Stella Mae Trotter; three sons: Emmanuel (Elizabeth), James (Billie Rae) Trotter, and Dennis Trotter; three daughters: Thelma Bridges, Dianne T. (Danny) Acker, Margaret Spikes, all of Picayune; thirty-seven grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to service. Interment will be Picayune Cemetery.  Entrusted to Brown’s Funeral Home.
