Mass of Christian Burial for Virginia Claire Martina Galbo, age 87, of Picayune, Miss., who passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2017, will be held Friday, July 7, 2017, at 12:00 p.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.

Visitation will be Friday, July 7, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.

Burial will be in Gardens of Memories, Metairie, La., under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Father Joseph Trinh will officiate the service.

A native of Baton Rouge, she was a Homemaker and a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Virginia was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend, who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Martina and Angelina Scardina Martina; her husband, Samuel Joseph Galbo; her son, Charles Joseph Galbo;  her grandson, Samuel James Galbo; and her brother, Joseph Martina, Jr.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Gloria Galbo Fontenot, John Edward Galbo, and Thomas Dominic Galbo; 5 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; her brother, Rosario Martina; and her sister, Martha Rayburn.
