Funeral Services for Lois Alise Maxwell Wise, will be held Wednesday July 12, 2017 at Bryd Chapel Methodist Church in Carriere, Miss. at 2:00 p.m.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 11, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home in Picayune.

Burial will be in Henleyfield Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Lois Alise Maxwell Wise age 86, of Henleyfield passed away peacefully Sunday, July 9,2017.

Alise was born May 16, 1931 in Poplarville. A longtime resident of the Henleyfield community where she owned and operated A.Wise Tax Service for over 40 years.

She was a faithful member of Byrd Chapel Methodist Church in Carriere where most recently she served on the Mission committee. The committee offers outreach to local families struggling to meet their financial obligations for basic needs. Serving as a member of this committee was near and dear to her heart. Over the years Alise also served as a consultant to the bookkeeping committee among other things.

She graduated from McNeill High School and attended Pearl River Jr. College.

She is preceded in death by her parents Louis Benson Maxwell and Lovie Josephine Conerly Maxwell: her husband Elmer Brown Wise, her daughter Alison Ruth Wise Smith; two brothers Louis (Louie) Wilson Maxwell and Benson Eugene Maxwell.

Left to cherish her memory are 3 daughters, Peggy Lee Wise Lige, Amanda Meryl Wise Hutchison, Bridget Lovie Wise; one son Christopher Tildon Wise: two son in laws Mike Lige and Mark Hutchison and one daughter in law Diane Beacht Wise; 10 grandchildren, Justin Mecomber, Amber Cole, Miranda Compretta, Natalie Chinache, Alexa Rentz, Colton Comans, Jimmy Hutchison, Anna Catherine Hutchison, Will Wise, and Annabelle Wise; 13 great grandchildren.

In remembrance of Alise Wise please send flowers or make a donation in her name to the Crossroads Food Pantry where she enjoyed served as a volunteer.
