Dunhurst’s home run jump starts Blue Devils to 14-5 win over West Jones

CARRIERE — Pearl River Central got out of a slump with a late hitting frenzy to sweep West Jones in game two of round two.

Blue Devils’ Hayden Dunhurst began the rally with a 3-run home run in the fourth inning to push PRC ahead 7-4. After a pair of errors and a handful of RBIs, PRC ran away with a 14-5 victory and advances to the quarterfinals against Long Beach, who swept Brookhaven with 12-3 and 9-2 wins.
