Funeral services for Carolyn Marie Wheat, age 74, of Poplarville, Miss., who passed away Saturday, April  22, 2017, will be held Wednesday, April  26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Crane Creek Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April  26, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Crane Creek Baptist Church.
Burial will be in Crane Creek Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Pastor Mike Mims will officiate the service, assisted by Brother Billy Kent Smith.
A native of  Picayune, Miss., she was a homemaker and a member of Crane Creek Baptist Church. Carolyn was a loving wife, mother, Meme, Mamaw, sister, and friend, who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Estus Cecil Ladner and Katherine Marie Harrell Ladner; and her daughter, Robin Regina Courtney.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 41 years, Harold Loyd Wheat; her children, Jane Ann (Richard) Young, Harold Glen (Regina) Wheat, Bridgett Suzanne (John R.) Tubbs, Susie Wheat Hall, Randy Craig (Bethany) Wheat, Gaye Dawn (Mike) Mims, David “Buckwheat” Wheat, and Candace Marie Wheat; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Laron (Barbara) Ladner.
