Ben was born in Van Vleet, Miss. on February 16, 1933. He excelled in sports and was a scholarship football player at Mississippi State University where he holds records to this day. He was a Korean War veteran and a successful Directional Engineer that traveled all over the world with his job. He helped construct Emmanuel Baptist Church in the early 1960s and was a member there.
His greatest contributions were not his accomplishments or his athletic awards or his successful business career. His greatest contributions were his giving heart, his positive attitude and his loving spirit. Never unkind, never judgemental to anyone. He always saw the glass as half full. He was always helping someone or some family. His joyful attitude was contagious and once you met him you could never forget him. A true blessing from our Lord.
Memorial services will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Nicholson, Miss. on Saturday, April 22 at 2:00 p.m.
All friends and family are welcome to attend.
