Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department nets nine in round up

The Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department conducted its annual round up early Tuesday morning, netting nine suspects.
Four teams consisting of Pearl River County deputies and agents from the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics gathered before dawn, splitting a list of 24 wanted persons who had a total of 72 felony arrest warrants.
Pearl River County Sheriff David Allison said the department conducts these mass operations twice a year as a concentrated effort to keep the community safe.
Often, additional arrests are made during these incidents as deputies come into contact with other suspects who also have warrants, Allison said.
Just after 6 a.m., Allison and his team arrived at a home in the Mill Creek area in search of their first suspect, Shane Lamartina, 30, of 88 Herb Lee Fred Spiers Rd., Carriere.
The department had previous interactions with Lamartina, who had arrest warrants out for conspiracy to sell a controlled substance, Allison said. After discovering Lamartina no longer lives at that home, deputies and agents made their way to a local motel where he was said to be staying.
While attempting to gain access to the motel room, a witness told motel staff a man fitting Lamartina’s description fled the area into the nearby woods with a female. As some officers began to search for him, the rest of the team set off for the next suspect. Officers located Lamartina a short time later and arrested him for three counts of sale of a controlled substance and three counts of conspiracy to sell a controlled substance, according to a departmental press release.
While locating Lamartina, deputies spoke with Kayla Stapleton, 26, of 298 Pea Ridge Road, Picayune who was later arrested for outstanding warrants for trespassing, stalking, and petit larceny, according to the release.
In Nicholson, a team located Sherri L. Clemmens, 44, of 171 Ozona Road, Carriere, without incident.
Clemmens was wearing an ankle monitor at the time of her arrest. She was wanted for three counts of sale of a controlled substance and three counts of conspiracy to sell a controlled substance, the release states.
Nearby, while deputies and agents were searching for another suspect they came across Joanne Rochelle Lee, 37, of 2240 Mitchell Road.
Lee was wanted for a simple assault domestic violence charge and taken into custody.
While attempting to locate another wanted suspect, Jarod Antoine, 27, of 340 Sycamore Road, deputies and agents came into contact with Chuck Magee and Kelly White, ages unknown, also of that address, a departmental release states.
As officers knocked on the door, Magee came to the door holding methamphetamine, and the strong smell of marijuana was detected from inside the residence, the release states.
During a search of the residence, officers located methamphetamine, multiple digital scales, plastic bags, marijuana, paraphernalia, a 0.22 caliber 1911 pistol and evidence that previous illegal narcotics sales had taken place, the release states.
Magee was arrested for possession of controlled substance with the intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, and accessory after the fact of a felon in possession of a weapon. White was arrested for possession of controlled substance with the intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, and for possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. Antoine was arrested for outstanding warrants for sale of a controlled substance and conspiracy to sell a controlled substance.
After securing a search warrant for the residence, officers seized $3,416 in cash, two vehicles and a firearm, the release states.
Other arrests made on Tuesday include:
-Jeremy Antoine, 30, of 117 Lion Church Road, Carriere, for sale of a controlled substance and conspiracy to sell a controlled substance.
-Wayne Ellis, 30, of 28 Spring Hill Road, Picayune, for four counts of sale of a controlled substance and four counts of conspiracy to sell a controlled substance.
-Derek Jarrell, 35, of 11 Fritz Jarrell Road, for conspiracy to sell a controlled substance.
-Josh Mitchell, 28, of 9613 Hwy. 11, Poplarville, for sale of a controlled substance and conspiracy to sell a controlled substance.
-Jason Gray, 39, of 28 John Amacker Road, Poplarville, for sale of a controlled substance and conspiracy to sell a controlled substance.
-Justin Darnell, 27, of 130 Ruston Road, Carriere, for three counts of sale of a controlled substance and three counts of conspiracy to sell a controlled substance.
Darnell was also in possession of a 0.357 caliber pistol and additionally charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
The Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department is seeking the location of the following suspects for sale of a controlled substance and conspiracy charges:
-Brandi Casey, 36, of 300 West Sycamore Road, Picayune.
-Justin Boyd, 34, of 10060 Hwy. 11, Poplarville.
-LaKeith Rawls, 39, of 308 North Blanks Ave., Picayune.
– Stephen Hull, 35, of 41 Oak Drive, Picayune.
-Donovan Quinn, 33, of 824 East Canal Street, Picayune.
-David Martinavich, 37, of 12 Frog Pond Road, Picayune.
-Candice Pendley, 21, of 147 Jasmine Drive, Picayune.
-Sherri Behr, 32, of 10 Varnado Lane, Picayune.
-Daisy Ellis, 32, of 28 Spring Hill Road, Carriere.
-Heather Tuttle, 30, of 961 Caesar Road, Picayune.
– Gina Mitchell, 29, of 13 Diamond Lane, Picayune.
– Tarrius Clark, 22, of 8th Street, Lumberton.
-Brittany Merritt , 35, of 56 N. Wells Road, Lumberton.
-Brady Rouse, 26, of 19 Red Oak Lane, Poplarville.
