Hattiesburg 47 – 24 Pearl River Central girls

Lady Devils fall to Hattiesburg in the first round of the district tournament. Harlee Davis led Pearl River Central with 11 points. Lady Tigers’ Terralyn Ulmer led Hattiesburg to a victory with 12 points. Teammate Kenedi Walker finished with 11 points and five rebounds.

Picayune 45 – 41 Pearl River Central boys

PRC’s valiant defensive effort was not enough to overcome No. 1 Picayune, losing to the Maroon Tide 45-41. After getting into foul trouble in the second quarter, Stephane Ayangma came back to push the Tide past the Blue Devils in a back-and-forth bout in Carriere. Ayangma scored 16 points while nabbing 13 rebounds Tuesday night. PRC’s A.J. Banks led his team with 21 points and four rebounds.

Picayune 41 – 24 Stone County girls

Lady Tide tramples Stone County on its way to the district championship, 41-24. Camille Culpepper had an active night with six points, eight rebounds and two steals. Alanna Smith led the Lady Tide with 13 points and seven rebounds.
