Funeral services for Carolyn Simmons, age 73, of Picayune, Miss., who passed away Sunday, November 27, 2016, will be held Thursday, December 1, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at West Union Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 30, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home.

Burial will be in West Union Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Rev. Bud Putnam will officiate the service.

A native of Tenn., she was a retired self employed Cosmotologist and a member of West Union Baptist Church. Carolyn was a loving wife, mother, MawMaw to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, sister, and friend who will be truly missed by all who loved and knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis Lee Hutchinson and Lorraine Browder Hutchinson; her sisters, Marolyn Hutchinson and Thelma Hutchinson; and her brother, Truman Hutchinson.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 57 years, Ray Simmons; her daughters, Tracy (Chris) Jones, Clista (Richard) Huber, Pam Mathis; 8 grandchildren, Jeremy Furr, Melissa Kennedy, Heather Guchereau, Summer Monroe, Ciara Kennedy, Caroline Macdonald, Lindsey Hobgood, and Lauren Smith; 14 great grandchildren; her sisters, Geneva (Alvin) Strickland, Wilma Stockstill, Virginia Hutchinson; and her brother, James “Leslie” Hutchinson.
