Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church for Mr. Rene Martin Jr., 75, of New Orleans, LA who died Tuesday, September 27, 2016 in Slidell, LA. The Rev. Michael Kelly will officiate at the service. Burial will be in the Picayune Cemetery under the direction of Baylous Funeral Home.
A native of Picayune, MS he was a retired truck driver.
Survivors include his wife, Bertie Martin; 3 sons, Eric Sr., Joseph Sr., and Roderick Martin; 1 daughter, Bernetta Martin; extended children, Steve McLendon and Stephanie Billingsley; 1 sister, Shirley Martin-Lewis, 10 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.
Rene was preceded in death by his parents, Rene Martin, Sr. and Bernetta Janet Martin and 1 son, Dewayne Payne.
Visitation will be held Saturday, October 8, 2016 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. in St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church.
