Memorial services will be held Friday, September 30, 2016 at noon at East Jerusalem Baptist Church.  Rev. T. J. Haralson will officiate at the service. Rev. Brian K. Dees is Pastor.
Eunice A. Burton-Thompson was the daughter of the late Rev. Louis and Alice Woods Burton. She was the third child of six children. She was preceded in death by her son Jeremiah and two brothers.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Amanda Chapel Baptist Church in Wiggins, MS under the leadership of Pastor T. J. Haralson. Eunice loved to sing praises unto the Lord.
Eunice was a 1992 graduate of Picayune Memorial High School. She attended one year at Pearl River Community College where she studied business management. She later received her letter of completion as a CNA (certified nursing assistant).
One April 25, 2015 Eunice married the apple of her eye, Mr. Michael Thompson.
She leaves to cherish her memories a loving husband, Michael Thompson; three sons; Christopher, Preston and Isaiah of Picayune, MS; two brothers; Louis Burton, Jr. of Pearl River, LA and Bernard (Stephanie) Burton of Hattiesburg, MS; one sister, Elizabeth (David) Barnes of Picayune, MS; two god-sisters, Tammy  (Adrian) Mathis of Pensacola, FL and Aquanetta Osborne of Carriere, MS ; two god-brothers, Timothy (Kathrine) Haralson of Pensacola, FL and Joseph (Monica) Haralson of Picayune, MS;  Aunts, Shirley (Clarence) Acker of Pearlington, MS and  Barbara (Rev. Tommy) Haralson (whom also was Eunice godparents) of Picayune, MS; Uncles, Rev. Walter B. (Andrea) Woods of Hutchinson, KS,  Rev. James (Andrea) Woods, Sr. of Baton Rouge, LA. and  Joe (Diane) Burton of Pearlington, MS; eight nieces and nephews, four great nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives, cousins and friends.
Interment will be in the Picayune Cemetery.
