OBIT Alford Jackson

In the small town, Magnolia, Mississippi on June 25, 1949, Curtis and Winnie Jackson were blessed with a bouncing baby boy. This gift from God was given the name Alford Jackson.
Alford attended the public schools of Mississippi; and graduated from George Washington Carver High School in Picayune, MS; upon graduating he entered the United States Air Force serving his country for twenty years before retirement. As a civilian, he worked for the Texas Alcohol, Beverage Commission for twenty years, before retiring.
Alford was united in Holy Matrimony to Marion Sirles on February 8, 2003.
This God fearing man’s heavenly departure was Wednesday, June 29, 2016, and his victory with God began. Waiting in Heaven for him are his parents, brother, Herbert Jackson, and sister, Lizzie Magee.
Alford leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Marion Jackson, brother, Curtis Jackson, Jr. and wife, Faith of Picayune, MS; sisters, Mary Ann and her husband, Jimmy May of Gulfport, MS, Carolyn Scott, Eula Wood, Kurtitia and husband, Jerel Myers all of Picayune, MS, Lucy and her husband, Marvin Hall of Junction City, KS and a host of loving nieces and nephews family and friends.
Graveside service Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Shiloh Cemetery, Bastrop, Texas.
