Funeral services for Margaret Ann Bowden Bonner, 75, will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at East Jerusalem Baptist Church at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Brian K. Dees will officiate.

Margaret was born August 5, 1939 in Charleston, Mississippi. She was the daughter of the late Elouise Bowden and Junior Robinson.

Margaret accepted Christ our Lord and Savior in her early childhood in Poplarville, Mississippi. She truly loved the lord. When she left Poplaville she joined Original Rising Star Baptist Church in Chicago, Illinois under the late Rev. R. Griffin where she continuously worshiped the Lord.

Margaret was united with Ben Bonner in the year of nineteen hundred and sixty. They moved to Chicago and raised their two daughters, Margaret Ann and Victoria. She was a homemaker.

When Ben retired from International Harvester of thirty years; Margaret moved to Picayune with her husband and three grandchildren, Ben,  Chris and Ariesh. She united with the East Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Dr. Alonzo Dees and continued her membership under Pastor Brian K. Dees. She served faithfully until her health began to fail. She was president of the Nursing Guild Auxiliary and a member of Mission II Auxiliary.

Sis. Margaret Bonner ended her earthly journey to go home to be with our Heavenly Father on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at 4:35 p.m. peacefully at her home surrounded by family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elouise Bowden and Junior Robinson; husband, Ben Bonner; daughter, Shirley Ann Perkins: sister, Queen Robinson and two brothers, John Robinson and John Bowden.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories two daughters: Margaret Ann Gibbs and Victoria Bonner-Treadwell (Ezell Treadwell).   Her four grandchildren: Christopher Bonner, Ariesha Bonner, Ezell Treadwell Jr. and Victor Treadwell.  Great grand-children: Kennedy Bonner, Je’vone Mayes, Jade Mayes, Kristopher Bonner, Devron Petite, Ashley Ross, Autumn Ross,Kyris Bonner, Victoria Treadwell, Kamron  Robinson and a host of nieces and nephews and other friends and families. Visitation will be at the church from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in Rose Park Cemetery in Poplarville, MS. Entrusted to Brown’s Funeral Home.
