Carriere man killed in motorcycle accident

Friday afternoon, 47-year-old Paul Brian Miller of Carriere was killed in a motorcycle and car accident on Hwy. 49 in Magee, Magee Police Chief Randy Crawford said.
According to coverage provided by mageenews.com, law enforcement officials with the Magee Police Department were the first to arrive at the scene.
“We administered CPR on Miller for a good while before the EMT’s arrived,” Crawford said. “Miller was traveling northbound when a Mercury sedan, driven by a 78-year-old driver, attempted to cross the northbound lane.”
Miller’s motorcycle struck the sedan, the story mageenews.com states. He was transported to Magee General Hospital where, after resuscitation attempts by medical staff were unsuccessful, was pronounced dead, the news report states.
According to the news report, Miller was a member of the Bikers Against Child Abuse.
“Our hearts and prayers go out to the families involved in this tragic accident,” Crawford said.
