This summer, the mother of all reunions will be held in Pearl River County.
Pearl River Central High School alumni Regina Johnson and Stacey Jones are coordinating a mega school reunion for anyone who attended PRC High.
“Last year, Stacey and I attended our 30th class reunion,” Johnson said. “There was not a large number of people there and we started counting the number of people in our classes who had passed recently. My mom, myself, my children and my grandchildren are now attending the school and this will be a chance for everyone to meet and reconnect with old friends.”
According to Johnson, the reunion is open to anyone that attended PRC High through the graduating class of 2015, whether they graduated or not.
The mega reunion will be held on July 25 from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Sun Roamers RV Park located at 41 Mississippi Pines Road in Picayune.
The pair is asking attendees to bring a covered dish, lawn chairs and appropriate swimwear. Events are being planned for the day including door prizes, putt-putt golf and horseshoes.
The cost for the event, if paid before April 1, will be $10 per adult and $2 per child. Tickets purchased after April 1, will cost $15 per adult and $4 per child, Johnson said.
Johnson and Jones are also taking orders for event T-shirts.
“The shirts are blue and will feature a devil head on the front with the words Blue Devils printed across the top,” Johnson said. “The back of the shirt will have Pearl River Central mega class reunion written on it.”
Prior to March 1, the shirts will cost $15 but after that date, shirts will cost $25, Johnson said.
Johnson asks that people send their payments to a PayPal account at rjohnson045@yahoo.com. Payments can also be mailed to R. Johnson at 616 Charlotte Dr., Picayune, MS 39466. When sending in payment, Johnson asks that participants include the number of people attending, T-shirt sizes and the name of the covered dish they intend to bring.
Johnson and Jones will provide fried chicken, soft drinks, paper plates and napkins, silverware and ice. There will be no alcohol allowed at this event.
Lunch will begin at noon.
