Funeral Services for SFC (U.S. Army, ret.) James Bloom “Jimmy” Williams, age 79 of Picayune, MS, who passed away Saturday, January 10, 2015, will be held Saturday, January 17, 2015, at 1:00 pm at Pine Grove Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 17, 2015 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Pine Grove Baptist Church.
Burial with Military Honors will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Rev. Scott Cappleman will officiate the service, assisted by Rev. Cody Warren and Rev. Greg Walls, Sr.
A native of Picayune, MS, he served 24 ½ years Active Duty Army and was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Morris Williams and Mabel Lloyd Williams; his brothers and sister, Jack Lloyd Williams, Joan Williams Jarvis, Larry Eugene Williams, and Gerald Glenn Williams Sr.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Jean Humphrey Williams; his daughter, Janet Williams Guidry and husband Nick; his 2 grandsons, Michael Guidry and wife Erica Smith Guidry, and Jeremy Guidry and wife Natalie Woods Guidry; 5 great grandchildren, Olivia Grace Guidry, Chloe Elisabeth Guidry, Grayson Joseph Guidry, Ava Isabelle Guidry, and Annabelle Grace Guidry.
Pallbearers will be William Seal, Stan Mitchell, Johnny Frank Williams, SFC Trey Galmiche, Gerald Glenn Williams, II, Michael Joseph Guidry, Jeremy Matthew Guidry, and Keith Brown. Honorary pallbearer will be Grayson Joseph Guidry.
