Edna Mae Wheat, a resident of Carriere, MS age 95, born on September 2, 1919 in Henleyfield, MS, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 in Covington, LA.

She was a member of Pinetucky Baptist Church in Henleyfield, MS.

She is survived by one daughter, Peggy King of Covington, LA; one grandson, Timmy (Candis)Thompson of Pearl River County, MS; five great-grandchildren, Timothy Wayne Thompson, Luke Stewart Thompson, Benjamin Jacob Thompson, Lily Thompson and Jude Lane Thompson; one sister, Wilda Fae “Tot” Stuart of Bogalusa, LA.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Wheat; her parents, Arvil Spiers and Oda Irene Burge Spiers.

Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Monday, January 5, 2015 from 12:30 P.M. – 2:00 P.M.

The Funeral Services will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Drew Dabbs officiating. Interment to follow at Henleyleyfield Community Cemetery.
