Funeral Services for Mattie Lee Roche Davis, age 93, of Carriere, MS, who passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2014, will be held Friday, December 12, 2014, at 12:00 p.m. at West Union Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Friday, December 12, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at West Union Baptist Church.
Burial will be in Gipson Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Rev. Bud Putnam will officiate the service.
A native of Bogalusa, LA, she was a devout Christian, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, as well as a dairy farmer and a member of West Union Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Curtis Roche and Ancle “Tom” Davis; parents, Thomas Benton Pigott and Bertha Rowena Lowe Pigott; son, Anthony E. Roche; granddaughter, Leanna Karen Burge; brother, Norman Pigott; three sisters, Mildred Penton, Marie Boutwell, and Esther Happ.
Survivors include her four sons, Stephen A. Roche and wife Jane, Robert L. Roche and wife Elaine, Benton P. Roche and wife Connie, Donald N. Davis and wife Karen; three daughters, Karen E. Burge, Kathy A. Buchanan and husband Keith, Tommie J. Phillpott and husband Alexis; daughter in law, Barbara L. Roche; sister, Vestal P. Edwards and husband Tom; twenty grandchildren; thirty-two great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
