Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 12 Noon in Weems Chapel United Methodist for Mr. Japheth Chissell, age 72, of Picayune, MS, who died December 15, 2014 in Picayune, MS.
Rev. Ada Clay will officiate at the service.
Burial will be in the Picayune Cemetery, under the direction of Baylous Funeral Home.
A native of New Orleans, LA, he was a retired ILA Longshorman, and he was a member of the Weems Chapel United Methodist Church, chaperone for the New Orleans Saints, New Orleans Tourist Driver, and a member of ILA Local 3000.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bernice Norman Chissell of Picayune; 1 son, Japheth Chissell, Jr. of Picayune, MS; 3 brothers, John Chissell, New Orleans, LA; Jerry Chissell, CA, Joseph Chissell, Austin, TX; 2 sisters, Jennifer Chissel of New Orleans, Jean Hollingsworth, Lacombe, LA; 2 grandchildren, Japheth Chissell III, Nyesha Brooks; 2 great-grandsons, Meiki Brooks, Damerion Merrill.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 20, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon in Weems Chapel United Methodist Church.
