Funeral Services for Daniel Anthony Champagne Sr., age 71 of Picayune, MS, who passed away Sunday, November 2, 2014, will be held Saturday, November 8, 2014, at 1:00 pm at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel, 401 West Canal Street, Picayune, MS.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at McDonald Funeral Home.

Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Deacon Doug McNair will officiate the service.

A native of New Orleans, LA, he was an Iron Worker and a Mobile Home Mover. Daniel was a member of the Catholic faith. He was a resident of Eatonton, GA for 22 years, and recently moved back to Picayune, MS.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Etienne Champagne and Louise Degruise Champagne; his grandson-in-law, Anthony Bourgeois; his brother, Rudolph Champagne; and his brother-in-laws, Gene Brown and Donald Untereiner.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Potter Champagne; his children, Michele Ann Champagne Mitchell, and Daniel Anthony Champagne Jr. and wife Rosemary Champagne; 4 grandchildren, Chauntel Bourgeois, Tasheena Hayden and husband Robert Hayden, Jonathan Champagne, and Rudy Champagne; 4 great grandchildren, Jade Bourgeois, Dominick Hayden, Landin Eschette, and Skylar Hayden; his sisters, Mabel Brown, Lois Untereiner, and Marlene Morel and husband Andrew Morel; and numerous nieces, nephews, and family members.
