Pearl River Central Water Association issued a precautionary boil water notice for residents living on Smith Street in Carriere and the surrounding areas who were without water or experienced low pressure on Nov. 8, 2014. This is due to a broken water line.
Affected residents are asked to boil their water for at least a minute before drinking.
Samples will be taken for two days as as soon as results are back the notice will be lifted.
