Funeral Services for Elder Virgil Kemper Skipper, age 75 of Picayune, MS, who passed away Friday, November 21, 2014, will be held Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at 11:00 am at Cedar Grove Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Monday, November 24, 2014 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at McDonald Funeral Home, and also Tuesday, November 25, 2014, from 10:00am until 11:00am Service time at Cedar Grove Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.

Burial will be in Skipper Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

A native of Picayune, MS, he was a Pastor for 46 years at many churches in Louisiana and Mississippi. Elder Virgil was a member of Cedar Grove Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pascal Cleveland Skipper and Velma Lenora Mitchell Skipper; his son, Virgil Regan Skipper; his grandson, Christopher Ryan Adams; and his brother, Johnny Skipper.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Judith Lee Skipper; his daughters, Iris Lynette Adams and husband Douglas Bozo, Paula Marlene Clark, and Julie Lenora Skipper McCarty and husband Rick; daughter-in-law, Arleen Skipper; 6 grandchildren, Justin and wife Hannah, Kimberly Wheeler and husband Joey, Jenna Thompson, Dalton Thompson, Chandler Clark, and Megan Skipper; his 2 step grandchildren, Anthony and Matthew McCarty; his 3 great grandchildren, Taylor, Chase, and Nathan; and his sister, Claudia Penton.
