The students of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School participated in the annual Pumpkin Patch Fundraiser on Wednesday morning.
This is the fourth consecutive year the fundraiser has been held on the grounds of the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church on Goodyear Boulevard, with all proceeds and donations going to the church.

The younger students who visited the patch were treated to a group story session from parent and volunteer Tricia Gipson before picking out their pumpkins. After the story, Gipson spoke about how much the students enjoyed the festivities of the fundraiser, and added that she was having fun too.
“I love reading to the kids and helping them pick out their pumpkins,” said Gipson.
In addition to selling pumpkins, the fundraiser hosts a movie night every Friday at 7 p.m. The patch will also open at 5:30 p.m. Halloween night for Trunk or Treat, an event in which families park their cars in the open field around the pumpkin patch so children can visit each car to trick or treat.
The patch is open to the public every day from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
