Funeral Services for Katrina Maudella McCaskell Varnado, age 58 of Picayune, MS, who passed away Friday, October 17, 2014, will be held Sunday, October 19, 2014, at 3:00 pm at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 19, 2014 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at McDonald Funeral Home.
Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Rev. Randall Childs will officiate the service.
She was born in Loudon County, TN, and a lifelong resident of Picayune, MS. Tina was a Retired LPN and a member of Unity Baptist Church. She was best known in her nursing career for the years she worked in the office of Dr. D.L. Bolton, where her patients loved her. She also worked at Crosby Memorial Hospital, Picayune Convalescent Home, and Convalescent Centers in Jacksonville, FL, but gave up nursing as her own health began to fail.
She was preceded in death by her father, Billie E. McCaskell; her nephew, Jordi Byrd; and her grandparents, Maudell and John Franklin, J.B. and Maud Ella McCaskell.
Survivors include her husband, Clifford E. Varnado; her daughter, Rachel Hilary McKean and David Foster; her step sons, Clifford Varnado Jr., Christopher (Anna Lisa) Varnado, George (Samantha) Varnado, Corey (Brooke) Varnado; her mother and step father, Bonnie Coe McCaskell Wiggins and Paul Wiggins; her sisters, Tami (Brian) Edwards, and Lisa (David) Daughdrill; her nephew, Justin Byrd and Jordan Baggett; her nieces, Ashlie (Ryan) Westbrook, Brooke (Seth) Niebuhr; her nephew, Lance (Mandy) Smith; her great niece, Addlie Westbrook; and her great nephews, Cade and Jax Westbrook, and Lawson Smith.
