Drug bust update

Three suspects are still wanted by the Picayune Police Department as part of a roundup conducted last Thursday.
Picayune Police Department Assistant Chief Jeremy Magri said four of the seven suspects left in the round up have been arrested, including 29-year-old Paul Simmons Jr., of 1910 E. Canal St., for sale of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a school or church; 45-year-old Lora Miller of 43 McCarty Island Rd., for fraudulent acquisition of a prescription; 24-year-old Anthony Landor of 1216 Fern Dr., for sale of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a school or church and 24-year-old Christopher Nixon of 207 N. Monroe Ave., for sale of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a school or church and conspiracy to sell a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a school or church.
Three suspects are still being sought, including 32-year-old Kenyauarn Delaney of 809 Telly Rd., for sale of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a school or church; 27-year-old Ransom Perkins IV of 1103 Merrydale Dr., for uttering forgery and 35-year-old Janie Hilton of 185 Fox Trail Rd., for five counts of fraudulent acquisition of a prescription.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of these suspects is asked to call the Picayune Police Department at 601-798-7411. If community members would like to submit a tip anonymously they can call 601-799-CLUE, Magri said.
During Thursday’s operation law enforcement officials set out to pick up a total of 18 suspects.
