On Friday, Tonya Cialona placed boxes at a number of Picayune businesses and schools. It’s part of her crusade to bring awareness to Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis, the disease that took the life of her two-year-old grandson Cade Belsome. It’s called share the warmth and people are encouraged to bring gently used coats for children of all ages. Coats for Cade boxes can be found at AllState, Picayune Chamber, Stewart Insurance, The Cornerstone and Picayune Memorial High School and Junior High. Cialona was joined at PMHS by members of PMHS’ National Honor Society, campus security, Picayune Police Department and Cornerstone’s fitness boot camp, who helped her place boxes at the school’s entrance. Pictured from left to right are: Matt Roberts, Stephanie Galmiche, Tonya Cialona, Sydney Smith, Beth Lenoir, Kayla Creel, Sarah Walley, Lt. LaMar Thompson and Bryan Goetzman. Find them on Facebook at Crusade for Cade.
