Funeral Services for Eugene Lamont Wells, 73, of Picayune, Miss., who passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2014, will be held Friday, September 5, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Friday, September 5, 2014 from 12 Noon until 2 p.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church.

Burial will be in Sones Chapel Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Bro. Chad Carr will officiate the service.

A native of Picayune, Miss., he was a Forester and a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church. Lamont enjoyed spending time outdoors with his animals and logging. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur J. Wells and Wilmoth Sones Wells.

Survivors include his wife of over 24 years, Cheryl A. Wells; three daughters, Regina Faith Wells, Lynda Wells Bolan and husband Bill, Candice Christine Burge and husband Darrin; three sons, Cody Lamont Wells and wife Judy, Harper G. Lewis and wife Chrissy, Justin “Blake” Lewis; grandchildren, Hannah and Taylor Wells, Tyler Scott, Karly and Madison Burge, Collyn, Avery, and Rowan Lewis, Meagan Jackson, and Ethan Smith; Great-Grandchild, Gemma Scott; sister, Billie Wells Hughes; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
