Carl Monroe Wamsley, 78, of Picayune, Miss., passed away Friday, August 29, 2014.

Visitation will be held at Picayune Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 from 10-11 a.m. Funeral Services will follow at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. with Bro. James Reeves officiating. Burial will be at New Palestine Cemetery.Mr. Wamsley was a resident of Mississippi for many years and was a Rocket Engineer for Boeing. His hobbies included, square dancing, being a square dance caller for the Laurelaires and flying remote control airplanes.

He is survived by his son, Daryl Wamsley of Nicholson; daughters, Desiree Wamsley of Picayune, and Deanna Malley of Poplarville; brother, Leland “Pint” Wamsley of Indiana; two grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl O. Wamsley and Ida Byrle Wamsley; brothers, Grant Wamsley, Harry Wamsley, Don Wamsley, and Ted Wamsley.
