Roy R. Duncan, Sr, 74, of Poplarville (Crossroads), Miss., died Monday, July 21, 2014 at his residence.

Services will be 4pm, Thu, July 24, 2014 at White Funeral Home, 315 Hwy 11 S, Poplarville. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Mr. Duncan was retired from Poplarville Lower Elementary, was a farmer and also worked at Travis’ Grocery Store in Bogalusa.

Family members include his wife, Mae Aldridge Duncan; children, Roy R. (Robin) Duncan, Jr. of Pine, La. and Susan Seal of Poplarville (Crossroads); loving sister, Mildred “Midge” Mitchell of Picayune; grandchildren, Kevin Duncan, Hackley Magee, Courtney Magee, Alisha Duncan, Jordan Duncan, Candace (William) Smith, Brandy Jones, Kaylea Duncan, Callie Duncan, Cameron Seal; great-grandchildren, Brianna Smith, Gracie Smith, Blake Smith, Ellie Jones; step-daughters, Lisa (Kenny) McBeth of Carriere, Kay (Eddie) Peterson of Poplarville (Crossroads); sisters-in-law, Alice Terrell of Pine, La., Annette Batson of Bogalusa, La., Doris Crain of Franklinton, La., Elizabeth Aldridge of Pensacola, FL, Geraldine (Junior) Seal of Poplarville (Crossroads); brothers-in-law, Johnny (Peggy) Crain of Bogalusa, Lester (Tillie) Crain of Mandeville, La., Lee (Linda) Aldridge of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Wayne (Jean) Aldridge of Calhoun, Ga.; son-in-law, Kenny Jones of Picayune; special friends, Hubert Matthews of Picayune, Archie Sullivan of Poplarville, Travis Thomas of Picayune; and a host of nieces, nephews, step grandchildren, and step great-grandchildren.

Mr. Duncan is preceded in death by his parents, Roderick and Daisy Wheat Duncan; his first wife, Linda Nell Crain Duncan; one daughter, Beth Ann Duncan Jones; and one step-son, Robin Sellers.

Visitation will be 4pm until 10pm, Thursday at the funeral home.
