Herman R. Howard, 73, of Carriere, Miss., passed away Thursday, July 10, 2014.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 11, 2014 at Picayune Funeral Home from 6-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Reeves officiating. Burial will be at Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.

Mr. Howard was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, lifetime resident of Pearl River County, and a Truck Driver.

He was preceded in death by: his father, John Henry Howard; brothers, Horace Howard, and Butch Howard; and half-brother, Richard Mitchell.

He is survived by: his son, Herman Dewayne Howard of Carriere; half-brother, Bob Mitchell, Steve Mitchell, Mack Mitchell, and Jimmy Mitchell; sister, Jackie Mitchell Albritton; grandchildren: Dereck Howard, Daphne Howard, and Johnathan Howard; and step-grandchildren; Hogan Goode, Nathan Goode, and Kevin Kelly.
