Two of five suspects are wanted for an armed robbery that occurred in May at the American Legion.

Picayune Police Assistant Chief Jeremy Magri said officers were sent to the area of the American Legion on May 11, just before 2 a.m. in reference to a man being robbed at gunpoint outside the establishment.

Officers arrived and spoke with the victim, who said prior the robbery he was hanging out with two of the suspects outside the establishment when other people pulled up to meet with the group, Magri said.

At one point 17-year-old Newton Knight and the victim engaged in a physical altercation, where 20-year-old Joanna Henley pulled a gun on the victim demanding his money and valuables, Magri said.

The suspects then tied the victim up before beating him for an extended period of time, Magri said.

All five suspects, including 26-year-old David Hight and 29-year-old Hillary Hill both of 46 Aubry Holsten Rd. Carriere and 30-year-old Jeana Stockstill of 1811 Highway 11 S. left the scene.

Magri said Stockstill, Hight and Hill were arrested a couple of days after the incident on the charge of armed robbery, but Knight, of 46 Shorty Burgess Rd., and Henley of 919 Ponderosa Dr., are both still at large.
