Funeral Services for Ruth Saucier Smith, 86, of Derby Community, who passed away Monday, Jun 9, 2014, will be held Thursday, June 12, 2014, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Churchof McNeill.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 11, 2014, from 6-9 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home.

Burial will be in McNeill Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Bro. Roger Miller will officiate the service, assisted by Bro. Robin Martin.

Ruth was a member of Northspoon Baptist Church. Nanny wa a great biscuit maker. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, and friend who will be truly missed by all who loved and knew her.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Matthew Spiers and Lela Alsobrooks Spiers; her husband, Daniel Phillip Saucer; and her son, Phillip Wayne Saucier.

Survivors include: her loving daughter, Judy Ann Lee and husband Garvice; seven grandchildren: Danene, Dexter, Daphne, Neil, Steve, Aaron, and Nicki; seventeen great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; her sisters: Liz Martin and Debbie Rester nad husband Fred; and her brothers: Connie Spiers and Charles Spiers and wife Lisa.
