Funeral Services for Isadore J. Giveans, Jr., 91, of Pearlington, Miss., who passed away Friday, June 13, 2014, will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2014  at 12 p.m. at Pearlington United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 18, 2014 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Pearlington United Methodist Church.

Burial will be in Pearlington Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Bro. Rich Handy will officiate the service.

A native of Violet, La., he was a River Boat Captain and a member of Union Baptist Church. Isadore was a veteran of WWII. He was the Captain of the Tug Boat, Clairmont at Stennis Space Center.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Isadore J. Giveans Sr. and Hilda Wolkart Giveans; his wife, Doris A. Giveans; his brothers: Samuel Giveans, Pepper Giveans, and Andrew Giveans; his sister, Lucille Francis; and his granddaughter, Tammy Giveans.

Survivors include: his sons: Wayne Giveans and wife Faye, and Larry Giveans and wife Sandra; four grandchildren: Darryl, Wendy, Larry, and Robby; four great-grandchildren: Drew, Darren, Kelsey, and Tyler; two great great-grandchildren: Preslee and Ramsey; and his sister, Althea Heaphy.
