Funeral Services for Emelda Burge Hammond, 77, of  Henleyfield Community, who passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014, will be held Sunday, June 15, 2014, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Henleyfield.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 15, 2014 from 1-2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Henleyfield.

Burial will be in Henleyfield Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Bro. Robert Bullock will officiate the service.

Emelda was an Office Manager for Movie Star Factory Outlet and a member of First Baptist Church of Henleyfield. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great mother, and sister who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Otis B. Lee, Sr. and Lillian Smith Patterson; her first husband, Carl Virgil Burge; her second husband, Joe Hammond; her sisters, Vertress Breland and Marilyn Perry; and her brother, Otis Lee Jr.

Survivors include: her children, Glenda Applewhite and husband Robbie, Melissa Kushi, and Jock Burge; six grandchildren: Chad Smith, Ira Applewhite, Amelia Bonanni, Alexander Kushi, Isabella Kushi, and Brooke Simmons; nine great-grandchildren; and her brother, Hensley Lee.
