Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 10, 204 at 1 p.m. at Pilgrim Bound Baptist Church for Master Woodrow Carter Jr., 64, of Picayune, Miss., who passed away, May 1, 2914 at Highland Community Hospital.

The Rev. Vanjo Davis will officiate at the Service. Burial will be in the Biloxi National Cemetery in Biloxi, Miss., on Monday, May 12, 2014, under the direction of Baylous Funeral Home.

A native of Bassfield, Miss., Master Woodrow Carter Jr., served in the U.S. Air Force.

He was preceded in death by: his father and mother, the Rev Woodrow Carter and Vernonia Kelly; three sisters, Jamesetta Prater, Elizabeth Kelly an Evelyn Jean Kelly.

Survivors include: his wife, Gertrude Carter of Killeen, Texas; one daughter, Master Sgt. Anitra Carter of South Korea; one son, Woodrow Carter III of Houston, Texas; three brothers: William Carter of Harvey, La., Glen Carter of Bassfield, Miss., and Willie Prater of Lake Charles, La.; eight sisters: Dorothy Jean Carter, Ernie Mae Thomas, both of Picayune, Jaqueline Winfield of Oakdale, La., Earlene Beverly of Violet, La., Janetta Tolliver of Sumrall, Miss, Iarlene Morgan of Houston, Teas, Jarether Carter and Ada Lacey, both of New Orleans, La.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 10, 2014 from noon to 1 p.m. at Pilgrim Bound Baptist Church under the direction of Baylous Funeral Home.
