Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 2 p.m. At Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Pastor Donald L. Parker will officiate at the service.

Paul Douglas Hawkins, 50, entered into eternal peace on Thursday, May 8, 2014 in the love and comfort of his family home.

Paul was born January 24, 1964 to the late Mary Helen and Oscar Hawkins.

He grew up in Picayune, Miss. as a child and joined Pilgrim Bound Baptist Church.

Paul was a very kind-hearted person and always gave a helping hand to anyone regardless who they were.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Helen Hawkins Griffin, Father, Oscar Hawkins, Stepfather, E.C. Griffin, brother, Richard Hawkins, Grandmother and grandfather, Ethel Mae and Frank Fields; three aunts, Jessie Maye Brown, Nobie Ruth Woodson and Annie Ruth Thompson, and one uncle, Eddie Ware.

He will be deeply missed by his two sisters, Cynthia Rice of Picayune, and Pamela Barnes (Jason) of Stone Mountain, Ga.; six brothers, Oscar (Jeanett) Hawkins or Jacksonville, Fla., James (Rose) McCallum of Columbus, Miss., Eugene Hawkins of Union City, Ga., Doug Hawkins of Mobile, Ala., Keith Hawkins and Ronald (Mary) Hawkins, both of Picayune. A host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
