The Order of the Eastern Star Carriere Chapter 105 held an open installation of officers for the 2014-2015 term on Saturday, May 10.

The chapter welcomed Annette James as the new Worthy Matron to preside over meetings for the term and Ted Watkins returned as Worthy Patron to assist James in running the chapter for the good of the order.

The Worthy Matron’s 2014-2015 emblems are the Bible and Cross. Her colors are dark blue, white and yellow. Her flowers are pansies. Her guide is the Holy Bible and her motto is: “Let there be light.”

Molly Cervantes, P.M., was the installing Matron; Larry McVey, P.P., was the installing Patron; Patricia Anderson, DDGM, was the installing Secretary; Moses Cervantes, P.P. was the installing Marshal; Jeanette Smith, P.M. was the installing Chaplain and Lynette McVey, P.M. was the installing organist.

After the address of the Worthy Matron and Worthy Patron, there was a presentation of jewels to the Jr. Past Matron and Jr. Past Patron, who then signed the Bible. Gifts were presented and the closing prayer was said.

The ceremony closed.
