Mattie Leach passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2014 in Bartlesville, Okla.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 8, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Picayune, Miss., with Dr. Keith Warden officiating. Interment will be in the New Palestine Cemetery also in Picayune. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home, Bartlesville, Okla.

Mattie Pearl Leach was born July 10, 1920 in Picayune, to Milton and Nida (Smith) Wheat. Mattie married Raymond D. Leach Jr. on June 30, 1945 in Pascagoula, Miss. Her career spanned many years with Phillips Petroleum Co. as a secretary and in the credit card division. She enjoyed painting and working in her yard.

Mattie is survived by: her two children; Pam Prentice of Bartlesville, Okla., and Raymond D. Leach III of Skiatook, Okla. She was blessed with five grandchildren: Janelle and husband Nick Swart, Amy Prentice, Nikki and husband Grant Stevens, Shana Leach and Raymond D. Leach IV all of Bartlesville; along with twelve great- grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
